Are you still there?

I know the last couple of days have been crazy, and hopefully fun! I hope you post here soon, I'm anxious to hear how you've been doing.

I am so freakin in love with my bike! I just love riding it, and it is so relaxing just to be able to ride and listen to some tunes....so much better than running. Plus don't tell anyone else this but I think bikers are nicer than runners ;)

Monday: On Monday I decided for my bike rides I should go between 45 minutes and an hour to get a really good workout because riding isn't as hard for me as running. So, instead of just going back and forth on 800 West I got daring and rode down 500 south to the trail at Legacy Highway and rode to the exit at Pages Lane, then went up to the Rail Trail until 400 north and then went along 800 west and home. I LOVED IT! I like it because most of the time I was either in a huge bike lane or a trail and that makes me feel a lot safer. I also like the fact that a lot of people take these trails and they are in the open so I don't feel like I'm going to get kidnapped. So here are the stats for Monday's workout....

Distance: 8.72 Miles
Time: 57:05
Calories: 441
Average Speed: 9.2 MPH

Tuesday:
I ended up being really busy on Tuesday but I was able to fit in a bike ride. I've been riding with Lisa so I get home about an hour later than I normally do, and then as soon as I got home I had to go visiting teaching. Then after that I hurried and ate so our Home Teachers could come over...they stayed for half an hour :P Then we had to run to the grocery store to get a few things, by the time I got home it was already 8:30 so I hurried and got ready and hit the road, hoping I'd be able to do the same route. I did most of it, but when I got to 400 North I called Luke and had him pick me up because there was no more trails or bike lanes and it was getting dark. But, I'm really glad that I did it, and it was super nice! I'm glad because I'm going to a jewelry party at Lisa's moms house so I don't know how late I'm going to be. But I love it because I actually look forward to exercising, and I'm even more excited for Luke to be able to come with me. Here are the stats for last night....

Weigh in #4

BOOO! So, I either put the wrong weight last week or accidentally recorded a new weight on my scale.... I'm going to go by my scale.

Previous: 181.6

New: 181.6

Change: 0!

Okay so I have no valid reasons why I didn't lose anything and other than I'm glad that I didn't gain I'm pretty ticked! I haven't even logged on to Weight Watchers in the last couple weeks...which means I'm just wasting money and not losing any weight and I only exercised 4 times instead of my goal of 5.

This week I am determined to work out 5 times and count my points every day! I know yesterday was Sunday and I normally don't work out on Sunday, but I was way too excited to ride my bike so here is the workout.

Distance 4.93 Miles

Speed 8.2 MPH

Time: 36.17

Calories: 250

It's cool because I can choose biking when I put it under my workout so it knows what I'm doing!

Goals for this week:

Exercise at least 5 times ( I would really love to take the dogs on a walk and ride my bike)

Count all of my Weight Watchers points

Lose at least 1.5 pounds (I'm kind of nervous because I am going to be on my period next week)

Ice Ice Baby!


So do I get to call myself a runner if I have to ice my knees? It wasn't too bad, they were just a little sore after my run last night. But I did it! And that is what is most important, right? I want to find some new places to run, I normally just go down to A&W and back and go through the culsdac a I little bit. So I'm going to have to research that so I don't get so bored.

Great news is that for my cardio trainer I have to weigh myself on Wednesdays andI have already lost 1.2 pounds! Now I just need to keep that up hopefully! I still plan on running today, tomorrow and Saturday. How have you been doing with eating and exercising?

I am super disappointed with myself and I really need to start weight watchers for real this week. I used up a lot of my weekly points yesterday so I don't plan on using any more of those, and I really want to run at least 5 times.






Now, on to the new week so far. So, I don't know if you have ever heard the song Imma Be by Black Eyed Peas? I have and it's one of my favorite songs, it always makes me want to dance...and last night it made me want to run. I just get so excited when it plays and I just want to be happy and active so I played it at least 3 times on my run last night. HA! I'm glad that you cleaned hardcore and you passed your inspection! I'll be checking on you to make sure you ride your bike today. Maybe we can exercise together Saturday morning like go on a walk or something, maybe even a small hike with the kids?

Here is my new running outfit, the whole thing cost $21 because I got biker shorts to go under the other shorts. I love it! And I think that is actually a really good deal, anywhere else it would have probably been at least between 30 and 40 dollars! I fell pretty self conscious when I am running but I just have to worry about myself and know that I am doing something about it. :) The tank top even came with the cute headband!

Monday, Monday

My weigh in will have to be delayed until tomorrow. I had a drivers meeting this morning at 7:30 and I woke up at 7:05...yup today is Monday. So, I didn't eat breakfast or weigh in just pulled my hair back put on my glasses and left.

Great job for you though! I am super proud of you!

My goal is to do 4 short runs and one longer run this week, preferably short one Monday through Thursday and the long one on Saturday. My short ones will probably be 2-3 miles and I'm hoping my long one will be 5-6 :)

I haven't got my playlist done yet, I'm planning on working on it today at work if I get bored, but as soon as I finish I'll let you know. :)

I almost met my goal of 1.5 lbs! Woo hoo! I am really surprised because I didn't think I would make it with my back and not eating well this weekend.

I need to figure out what I'm going to do for exercise this week. I really liked riding my bike last week so I think I'm going to do that four times this week and then do some kind of strength training three times. My goal again is to lose 1.5 lbs. I hope I can meet that goal this week!

I love SuMmEr!!! :D



Yahoooooo! I love this weather and that I can go out later at night and it's not pitch dark so I can't run. But it's cool enough by 8 that I'm not completely dehydrated and laying on the side of the road halfway through. I'm kind of bummed because I forgot what I did before to make it 3 miles so I didn't do it as long as I wanted to but I did it so I'm proud. I'm not sure what will happen tonight because I have to wake up super duper early tomorrow morning so we'll see if I have time to do a run. The bad news is that I weighed myself this morning and I had gained weight....so I just need to continue exercising and watching what I eat and hope for the best. Next week I really am counting points for reals and exercising.






I am so sorry that your back hurts that stinks big time! I really wish you could train with me and we could do a 5k together. Hang in there and I bet the more you work out and slowly get better and strengthen your back the better it will feel :)

My Back Hurts! {Whine, Whine}

Ok, I did 30 day shred again today. I love that workout--it's hard but it is good and only 20 minutes long. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to do it anymore. :-( Yesterday my back started hurting and I tried it again today, trying to be careful to not strain my back but now I am in a lot of pain! You do a lot of squats and lunges and I think that is what has killed my back. It makes me mad because I really like that video. Ugh! I don't know what to do now. I guess I'll have to find another video I love.

On a positive note, I weighed myself today and I've already lost .6 lbs. So, I need to keep it up--even over the weekend so I can reach my goal of 1.5 lbs.

Good job jogging last night. You're awesome! I like your picture...it's super cute. Sorry I've been too lazy to take a picture and put my memory card in the computer to post it. I will soon though! Hope you have a spectacular day! I will text you later to make sure you get out and exercise. Do it first before you even go over to Mom's then you won't be tempted to not do it. :)

Happy Tuesday! And Happy Flag Day! How do you know it's flag day Natalie? Because someone was pounding a stake into my yard at 5:00 this morning to be able to put a flag up. :)


I hope your 30 day shred went well, and that she kicked you where it counts. I went jogging/walking last night. I would have jogged the whole thing but Luke came with me and he can't jog with his bum knee, but even then he just takes really long strides while I jog. It felt great to get out and just do it, I don't know why I can't remember that and just do it more often. Luke is going to a Bee's game with Mike, Logan and Dad tonight which is good because that means a night alone for me, which normally means I clean and exercise. But, Valerie is going to be across the street at Mom's all night and you know how much of a social butterfly I am so you'll have to check on me to make sure I do it! So here are my stats for last night: * Please note, the calories and distance may not be 100% accurate because the GPS wasn't working at first and we didn't realize it for a little while, but tried to guess on the distance from where we did notice.

P.P.S I'm sorry that you gained last week! It is super hard when you have so much going. I'm having a hard time getting back into Weight Watchers because it's so hard to track but then I just remember when we did it before and I lost a ton of weight and I tracked everything! So we can do this!

I did horribly this week! :( I was good the first part of the week but then we went to Idaho and the birthday party and I totally lost control of my eating! Plus I didn't exercise Friday or Saturday. So frustrated with myself. I'm determined to do better this week though. My goal this week is to lose 1.5 lbs and to exercise 5 times. I am going to do 30 day Shred everyday plus one other active thing like go for a walk or a bike ride at least 3 times this week. Here's to a new start, I guess...

Good job to you though! I'm excited that you lost this week. You rock!

Yay for weigh in day and a start of a new week! :) I was going to do really good with points and exercising last week...I didn't really do that great with either. But, I'm excited that I lost something even if it isn't that much. So here are my goals for this week:


1. Exercise at least 4 times (preferably run 3 times and do zumba/step aerobics 2 times)


2. Count all of my points for Weight Watchers


3. Lose between 1 and 2 pounds


4. Get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep every night

I did it! :)

FINALLY! I exercised and it felt good....for the most part. It was raining off and on all night and I told myself I could relax with Luke until 8:00 and then I'd either go running or exercise at home. So when the time came it looked like it was pouring outside...so I thought maybe I'd run on the treadmill and we could watch another Veronica Mars....but I'm spoiled now with running outside and really didn't want to do it on a treadmill so I waited a few minutes and it seemed to be clearing up so I bundled up and went out to run! It started out great I didn't walk other than the warm up even when my stomach started cramping up I just took some deep breaths and kept on running... I was doing fine until my calves started cramping up and boy did they cramp up! I remember watching biggest loser and watching them do their 5k or half marathon and they would start cramping up and they would just be crying in agony...and I use to always think they were such wimps...until last night. It hurt sooooo bad and I tried standing on the curb and stretching them out and that made me want to cry so I was kind of over by the frontrunner so I called Luke and asked him to come pick me up because I really couldn't even walk. But I did it and Luke has told me now that I need to drink a ton of water and stretch before next time ha ha :) I also did count all my points yesterday so I'm feeling pretty good about myself. Here is me being super happy that I actually exercised...it's not right after I exercised otherwise I would have looked like I spent 10 hours in the sun. And the other picture is a snake skin I found while waiting for Luke to pick me up.

That Darn Mars....

Failure should be my middle name right now... On the bright side I did count all of my points and I only had to use a couple of weekly points and I wasn't bad by going to Golden Corral. That's where the good ends! I don't know what it is about summer time but I love watching TV on DVD during the summer so on Monday night we went to Top Hat to see if we could find something to watch and decided on Veronica Mars (I like to pick ones that are over so I don't have to wait for a new season to come on or out on DVD.) So we got one disk and watched it while I kept a heating pad on my hip...then today we went back because it was adventure day and rented some more thinking I would watch a couple episodes and then run when it got a little cooler. But then my eye went nuts, I'm guessing I touched it after petting Laney and I had to put a cold wash cloth on it and didn't end up running or doing anything. So that means I have to exercise every day for the rest of the week. So you've got to check on me to make sure I do it and I really will try to get better. :) I'm a little nervous because that means exercising on our date night but Luke agreed to doing something active for our date and I also have to do yard work sometime soon so hopefully that will help too. Um, me too :(

Ok, so I didn't end up doing 30 day shred yesterday. It took longer than I thought to get the kids to bed and then Spencer got a movie for us to watch from Redbox, so I just did some push ups and crunches. Not what I was planning but at least I did something I guess...

I just finished 30 Day Shred right now though :) Spencer did it with me and it was awesome. It was freakin hard but I feel good! I like what Jillian says that if you don't keep going even when it's hard, you won't get stronger. If you don't force your body to change, it won't! I'm gonna try to remember that when I'm exercising and push through the hard parts.

Sorry about your hip. I hope it starts feeling better. Good luck with your run tonight! Let me know how it goes.

Monday was a bad day!

Okay, so I was all excited to post last night after my run and tell you how good it felt....it didn't happen. We were momentarily going to go to the Pirates movie but I still had high hopes of exercising afterwords...but we didn't go to the movie and my hip flamed up on me. I'm not sure what's wrong with it and I don't really want to go to the doctor and have them just tell me it's because I've started exercising just like they did with my foot....so I'm going to see how it feels after a few more days. It is a dull pain today but I'm determined to run! So my plan is to go home and eat and relax and run around 8:00 because it stays sunny for so long now. I didn't do well with eating yesterday but I did count all of my points and I don't plan on using anymore activity or weekly points this week. I hope Jillian kicked you nice and hard in the butt! :)

First Post

I'm happy to start a new beginning and start keeping track of my weight and exercise again. My goal today is to exercise 4 times this week. I'm going to do the 30 Day Shred video tonight to start the week off! I also want to lose between 1 and 2 pounds a week.

Mood HAPPY!


I am super proud of myself for losing this week. I did super crappy on eating but I exercised 3 times, which was my goal, so I am proud. Last week I decided to concentrate on exercising because I hadn't in a long time, this week I'm adding points. It's going to be hard but I can do it! Luke has decided to take Monday's off so I will always have the car on Monday's so I have decided that this will be my free lunch day. Unfortunately I don't get free lunch but I will use weekly points for this day. Then I can pick one other day for dinner to use weekly points, which will normally be our date night. But this week it will probably be Golden Corral tomorrow if we end up going. So I'm telling you now my goal is to lose between 1 to 2 pounds every week and exercise at least 4 times. I am really excited about this blog and I'm hoping it works to motivate us :)


This is me being SUPER happy about my weigh in and wearing my new shirt that you found on Saturday :)


My plan is to run tonight after it cools off for an hour...we'll see how it goes. Have fun swimming!
